Thank you for those that joined me Wednesday night on the Experimental Server. The best news is that we identified a new bug, and had some fun while doing so. Nothing spells relief more than challenging an entire town to a fight, and walking away (relatively) unscathed. For everyone else, I wanted to share that we gathered some ideas for future events, discussed the pros and cons of various features that are currently on experimental, explored actions (like challenging a town’s population) that likely would not have happened on live, and generally had a nice conversation about the game we all love.

A major topic was the difficulty of accessing the Experimental Server for those of the general population that have limited experience with computers. I am taking this one to heart, and passed along the information to the development team. For those struggling with access to the server, let us (the GM’s) know and we will do what we can to assist.

As we discovered Wednesday, the Experimental Server can become so much more than just a place to test new features. It is also a ‘politically neutral’ place for all of us to gather. A new and fresh world to try those things we have always wanted to try, explore the depths of locations we haven’t been able to access, practice our skills, and try out new builds for our characters.

Currently we are looking for feedback in three specific areas – Factions, Death 2.0, and Mounts. Many of the features included are difficult to test without large scale involvement, so I personally challenge each of you to form up, build out a character, join a faction, and let’s get a war started!

Next week I have something rather special and exciting in mind. Be prepared and I will see you all then.
